General comments

Antibiotica aanpassen op geleide van kweek. 

In 75% van de gevallen wordt E. coli gevonden als verwekker. 

Geïnfecteerde cyste

  • Urinekweek kan negatief zijn indien een geïnfecteerde cyste niet communiceert met verzamelsysteem. Een PET/CT biedt uitkomst, echter dit is niet beschikbaar op de ABC-eilanden.
  • Bij geïnfecteerde cyste van >5 cm wordt vroege drainage geadviseerd in combinatie met antibiotica.
